Detection and identification of pallet boxes by means of RFID detection points

The customer

Kipco-Damaco (Oostrozebeke) is an international leading manufacturer and supplier in the meat industry. The company developed a customer base in more than 100 countries and delivers more than 60.000 tons of own goods outside Belgium every year.

The challenge

Kipco-Damaco was looking for an efficient solution for the detection and identification of pallet boxes by means of RFID detection points.

The solution

Aucxis developed an RFID solution for which about 17.500 pallet boxes were equipped with personalised durable UHF RFID tags, while the forklifts were fit with on metal RFID tags. The detection of the pallet boxes and control of the tipper are done by means of RFID scanning. Finally, we installed a monitoring station at the tippers and washing station.

Continuous monitoring of the pallet box and contents throughout production
Manual registrations of movements of pallet boxes are made redundant
