RFID POC Mobiel

The numbers tell the tale. Assess the chance of success and the risks of your RFID project

In order to find out whether a specific RFID application is economically and technically viable, Aucxis performs a feasibility study in a controlled environment on site. We describe the complete RFID configuration and the components needed. This test also serves as the basis for a well-founded tag selection.

1
Analysis

It is important to analyse the problem well in advance and to describe your expectations. Make a clear overview of the process flows from start to finish.

2
Material flow determination

Which assets need to be read? Which type of reading points is required? Where and how are loads received and stored? Where are they stored? How many pick-up and drop-off moments are provided?

3
RFID-Tags mix
Tag selection

RFID tags are available in many different forms, sizes, models and applications so it is very important to make the right choice. In some cases, durable tags are required to withstand the process they go through and also the reading distance needs to be taken into account. If necessary, preliminary reference tests can be performed in our anechoic chamber.

4
Test on site

Aucxis comes on site with the POC-Mobiel and installs the required hardware (such as RFID tags, antennas, reading equipment,…) and the test software. The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical set-up and performs the necessary tests. It is an enormous added value to see the different types of hardware assembled at the desired location.

5
Detailed report

The POC team, consisting of a Project Engineer and Account Manager, presents all findings in a detailed report. Based on this information, it is possible to make an accurate estimate of the costs of the RFID project and to gain an insight into the potential return on investment.
