Aucxis RFID Solutions is a proud partner of ‘Fabriek Logistiek’

‘Fabriek Logistiek’ – an initiative of POM East Flanders – is the first test room in Belgium where companies can test a range of logistics solutions of various technical partners. Aucxis puts an RFID gate at the disposal of the participating companies enabling them to register, identify and draw up the inventory of their goods in a fast and simple way. 

The practical test centre Fabriek Logistiek in Ghent/Zwijnaarde brings together various logistics applications, hardware and expertise in two brand-new logistics halls. The focus of the first hall is on e-commerce and the focus of the second hall is on pallet handling.

“At Fabriek Logistiek, we want to make people aware of the existing technological solutions and their synergy. Logistics companies will get the chance to rent the test warehouses for 1 day or more to experiment to their heart’s content with the logistics innovations of numerous technical partners”, the project coordinator Danny Vanrijkel of POM East Flanders explains. 

Aucxis supplies and installs a solid RFID gate enabling logistics companies to detect, register and draw up the inventory of their incoming and outgoing tagged assets. “The company’s employees can perform the tests independently by labelling their own goods with RFID test labels and then driving them through the RFID gate, whether or not on a forklift”, CINO and BU Manager RFID Jason Scrivens points out. “If you are interested in or you need more complex tests – for example with loads requiring research into the most suitable RFID tag- we are happy to come on site to perform a Proof of Concept.”  

Due to COVID-19, the official opening of ‘Fabriek Logistiek’ by Flemish Minister of Economy and Employment Hilde Crevits has been postponed to a later (currently unknown) date. However, any company that is dealing with logistics questions and problems can already get started at ‘Fabriek Logistiek’ to test out solutions in a realistic environment.
